Line Art- Intro to Visual Arts

This year I am in Intro to Visual Arts. For one of our first projects we did a project that involving color, shading, value and many other things. Our projects all were supposed to be inspired by some song we listened to while drawing our initial template. I listened to a song called Chicken Tendies by Clinton Kane. I think these represented my song well because when you hear this title you would think it would be a fun, happy song but in reality it is deep and sad. I think that is kind of how my art is. The colors are upbeat and people would see them as happy colors but there are tear drops and the blues are more of a sad color. The way we made this project was by sketching our small rectangle and making all the shapes we wanted and that we thought connected to the song. After we had that done we made copies of the paper so we now had four. We then switched the direction and order of the photos to make some cool design and we would eventually chose out of the four which we liked the most. After we completed this process we toke a long time and traced our design on to our final paper. We had to chose a color scheme that also went with our songs and fit on of the color schemes on the color wheel. I ended up choosing an analogous color scheme. I really enjoyed this project because I love to color and its fun to have something that you have designed all by yourself and see your whole piece come to life.
